Dan Sullivan is the junior United States Senator from Alaska, having served in the Senate since 2015. She was initially appointed to her seat by her father, Governor Frank Murkowski, following his election as governor, but she subsequently won election in her own right. Nicholas Begich is the United States Representative for Alaska's at-large congressional district, having served in the House since 2025, following his election in 2024. A member of the Republican Party, he was born in Anchorage, Alaska, and comes from a prominent Alaska political family — his grandfather, Nick Begich Sr., served as Alaska's congressman before disappearing in a 1972 plane crash, and his uncle, Mark Begich, represented Alaska in the U.S. Senate from 2009 to 2015. Nicholas Begich is an entrepreneur and businessman who has been involved in technology and venture capital ventures in Alaska.

Begich won election to Alaska's at-large seat in 2024, defeating incumbent Democrat Mary Peltola.
